Throughout the academic year our office facilitates diversity training. Our diversity training programs are designed to encourage dialogue and interaction among students about issues related to diversity. We seek to build competencies among UNC Asheville students to assist their preparation for living in a diverse community at UNC Asheville and beyond.
We strive to make our diversity training engaging, fun, and thought-provoking. This includes interactive discussions, guest speakers, and workshops. Diversity training is available student organizations, class, and the Asheville community. If you are interested in having the Multicultural Affairs facilitate diversity training, please submit a request by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Workshops and Dialogues
Lunch-n-Learn Series is a forum that provides an informal environment for students to engage with fellow students, faculty/staff, and community members. During Lunch-n-Learn series guest speakers present based on their personal and professional multicultural experiences. The goal is to increase opportunities for our students to experience more diverse views and cultures, rich discussions, and openness.
All Lunch-n-Learn Series are 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the Intercultural Center, HIG 114 and are free to attend.
